So far I have reached my goal and have learned many things along the way. I have developed my own way of teaching the CPR classes and have become more comfortable teaching. I have also learned how to deal with the different personalities of the kids. From the rowdy ones to the good ones. It can be very frustrating at times to teach the rowdy bunch, but I enjoy having that challenge. Evey time I finish teaching I feel rewarded to know that I have taught the kids how to safe someones life! I get very tickled when I see the kids I have taught in the hall way and they stop me and tell me that they still remember the steps. They say things like "its 30 compressions and 2 breaths; and " are you choking I know CPR can I help". It just puts a smile to my face when they say that. Since I have finished my goal I was thinking what can I do next? I know that some of the students, teachers, and parents have told me that they wanted to learn CPR. So my idea was to teach CPR during spring intensive week! I have talked to Mrs. Zion and she thinks it is a great idea! What to you all think?
I have not yet talked to Mrs. Seay about the details on this, but I certainly plan on talking to her this week!
