I am on off commission at the moment. I hope to be back sometime next week! So far I have taught 53 students! I was supposed to teach a CPR class this coming Monday February 7th, but due to medical reason's I have rescheduled it to February 14th. I will be teaching Mrs. Gillespie's PE class. I will be teaching her second, fourth, and seventh period classes. All together there will be 57 students that day. My biggest class will be the fourth period class, which has 23 students. I have already contacted the AHA and two extra volunteer's who will be aiding me. After I have taught this class I will have taught 110 students! My goal was to teach half of the upper school and I have done so! Yay! I will also be teaching the coach's CPR. I have talked with Ms. Tewkesbury and the CPR class will be taught on a Sunday sometime in February. We do not have a set date yet because not all coach's have replied back yet.
To maintain my CPR certification, I have signed into the AHA instructor network so I will have access to the 2010 AHA guidelines science update. I am also contacting my advisor Lorraine Calwile for an update on my project. Till then.
Sounds great Victoria! BE sure to keep a log of how the classes go and what you are learning about teaching. That will be very important information to share when you prepare your final Project Presentation.
ReplyDeleteOkay Mrs. Zion I will. I'm also thinking for my next class of recording little bits of my class as well and getting input from the students about learning CPR. Just like you suggested.
